Busy times at SYP with 'Picture the Change'!
It’s been a more than busy period for everyone at SYP, with ‘Picture the Change’ taking us to schools, festivals and the like all over Scotland. Not to mention MSYPs slogging their guts out getting consultation responses!
Only a few weeks ago MSYP for Renfrewshire, Megan Wallace helped SYP at The Young Carers festival in West Linton. Megan lead the Young carers in a variety of activities from finger paint-voting; paper chain consulting, to building rainbows with their ‘Picture the Change’ responses! In the end the consultation space was transformed from an empty cream shell to a multi-coloured room of consultation fun! As well as the young carers enjoying the weekend’s festivities with the help of SYP, Megan had time to meet with MSPs, and Ministers of State to chat about the manifesto consultation and on SYP’s work. A major well done to the Convenor of Social Justice, Megan Wallace!
