Developing Scotland’s next Mental Health Strategy

In March 2016, the Scottish Youth Parliament co-hosted a Mental Health Discussion event with the Scottish Government, attended by 51 young people from a range of locations and backgrounds across Scotland. The purpose of the event was to gather young people’s views and experiences of mental health services and information, and feed them back to the Scottish Government’s Mental Health Unit in order for young people’s views to be considered when developing Scotland’s Mental Health Strategy for 2016-2019. This report sets out the findings of the Discussion event, along with key recommendations based on the voices of young people who attended.
