Youth Discussion Day: Transitions in Mental Health

The Scottish Youth Parliament is working in partnership with the Scottish Government Mental Health Unit and NHS Scotland to deliver Action 21 of the Mental Health Strategy 2017-2027:

'Improve quality of anticipatory care planning approaches for children and young people leaving the mental health system entirely, and for children and young people transitioning from CAMHS to Adult Mental Health Services'

This event will be led by our young research Investigation Team called 'Bridge the Gap' who have been analysing and exploring the process of transition from CAMHS to Adult Mental Health Services. Bridge the Gap will provide an update on the journey so far and crucially, they will be asking young people to give feedback, ideas or suggestions to support the development of this important piece of work.

We would like to gather the views and opinions of a diverse range of young people to feed into this important project. However, we are particularly interested in hearing from young people who have experienced the transition from CAMHS to Adult Mental Health Service. The aim of this discussion day is for young people to feedback ideas and suggestions in a safe space and in an enjoyable, meaningful way.

We will provide lunch on the day and if you need travel booked please contact or if you have any other questions regarding this event please email Mo at
