Education and Skills Committee's inquiry into subject choices: our findings

The Scottish Parliament's Education and Skills Committee are carrying out an enquiry into subject choices. This follows on from previous work undertaken by the Committee in 2017 and September 2018. The Committee launched its call for views on 4 February, which closed on 4 March.

The Scottish Youth Parliament have engaged with this enquiry through our #WhatsYourTake survey, which gathered 1136 responses from young people aged 12-25 across Scotland, from all 32 local authorities.

SYP's Education and Lifelong Learning held a 'Make Your Choice' meeting at our 68th National Sitting on the topic, which was co-produced by SYP with the Scottish Parliament's Education and Skills Committee and Community Outreach Team.

Please find our findings in a letter addressed to Clare Adamson MSP, Convener of the Education and Skills Committee here.
