The Scottish Youth Parliament is a fundamentally rights-based organisation, and our values are grounded in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). This session is designed to make young people aware of their rights, and to familiarise them with the UNCRC. In the session, participants will learn about the differences between human rights and young person's rights, so that they are aware of the rights that specifically need to be upheld for them. Session participants will also learn about what to do if they feel that their rights aren't being upheld.
This session is ideal for a group of 30 young people or less.
Sessions can last 1 to 1.5 hours.
