What happens at the AGM?
The SYP AGM takes place annually, at our June Sitting.
At the AGM, candidates for the positions of Chair, Vice Chair, and Trustee are selected by our members.
MSYPs vote for their preferred candidate, using the Scottish Single Transferrable Vote system.
The votes are counted and then the final results decided using an online voting calculator. The counting is done by the SYP staff team, and the whole process is overseen by a Returning Officer and an Independent Observer.
